That's it!  From now on I am not going in races that let in those young whipper snapper 16 year olds!   angry laugh   They run too fast and win!!   laugh

Thank goodness for Age Group prizes and door prizes!

Yes there were some medals and some PBs too!

I don't know the exact times, so the actual runners will have to fill in the information.  I don't even know my own actual time - will check when the results come out on Red Ball.

Petra came first in her AG with a 26-something
I came third in my AG with a 28-something
Cathy was not far behind me - like a minute or something
Susan Goebel had a PB in the 10K - it was 57 something - I think.  Unfortunately she is in a very VERY competitive age group.
Diane and her daughter Alicia had a great first event in her comeback.  It was wonderful to see Alicia out there supporting and encouraging her Mom.  What a good daughter!

Cathy won a $50 Walmart GC for a door prize.
I won a bunch of bath stuff - all mango scented!
Alicia's karma got her a hat and a couple of GC for Pizza-Pizza

The t-shirts are really nice - black with blue & green writing on them

The goody bags were great - reusable cloth bags that were loaded up with gatorade, lip balm, key chains, Quaker stuff, that kind of thing

The food was great too -- people standing at the finish line with trays of oranges and bananas
Inside the cafeteria there was more oranges, bananas, timbits, coffee, granola bars, little mini rice cakes, yogurt, juices, gatorade -- more than you could ask for.

I am not sure why more people don't do this race.  It is a good one.  Thanks to all the people who organized it and volunteered at it!

This event gets better and better every year.  They did much better with the results than in the past.

I loved the Pitter Patter, definitely one of my fav's for many reasons.  Mostly, I love the fact that it is an out and back and you get to see the leaders.
I think the reason they don't have a lot of folks is the lack of advertising.  Loyalist didn't even have it on the walls or posted in the email.  Little disappointing.
However, you all had a great day...Good job everyone!

Maybe it isn't advertised there because it is actually run by the Community Policing, and not by Loyalist?

There seemed to be less people this year than before but that might have been because it was "Boston" weekend.

They were very well organized with the registration too this year.  And for the pre-registrants, everything was ready, in our bags labelled with our names, and included the t-shirt in the size we requested.

Just looking at the results for the Pitter Patter and there were 163 runners between the two races.  I think  that's pretty good!

Sandy, I agree, I thought the turnout seemed very positive for the Pitter Patter.  Just from a "visual"  it seemed like a lot of runners at the starting line.
