would never trade it for the world.. the sky was sooo blue and coming through the ice in the trees was an awesome view.
wish i had my camera with me..
what`s with the power towers??.. holy!!.. talk about screaming... they must not like the cold..

Maybe we can have an autograph session sometime!   cool   I wasn't sure what photos they were going to publish so I am glad that we made it in.  He had originally requested a whole bunch to be sent to him in high resolution so I guess he picked from what he got.

Phew.... I am so glad that Janet and Shannon were excited to have their photo in the magazine (since I forgot to ask them if it was ok!)

It's such an honor to have my face in their very first magazine.  Makes me feel guilty that I'm not on running mania that much.  Mom will be proud!
Hey Janet, I forgot to give you the magazine tonight!

Saw you on the road this mornin Dave and you are right about the view.  Mother nature blessed us with a beautiful morning.  It was like crystals were hanging from the trees.  Hope its that pretty for me tomorrow!

By the way, I meant to say, I was really impressed with the magazine!  Much nicer than the usual Running World I have been receiving!  And more relevant to Canadians than RW too!   I plan on subscribing.

Oh, and I plan on trying to get our FunRunners group profiled in there.  Anyone want to help???

I was saying the same this to Sandy.  It thought our group would fit in that magazine nicely.  There are so many great stories to tell about this group.  Where would you start?
Great magazine!

Let me know what I can do to help Jane.  This sounds like fun.

Thanks Derrick for giving us the heads up.  BTW, where have you been.  And are you still having the St Patties Day Race???

Hey Cathy,

Was having a hard time getting on the other forum as we don't have dialup where we live.

Have been keeping busy.  Running lots, and doing some writing and gear reviews too.  Both Sara and I have articles going in the next issue of Canadian Running Mag.

As for the Kingston St. Patrick's day race... I told Achilles Canada last spring that I wouldn't be able to organize the race in 2008 as we were going to be away, but would help the new race director leading up to it.  Unfortunately, no one has come forward to organize the race, so it's been cancelled for this year as far as I know.

Take care,
Derrick

We're trying to get them in the store Sue, I'll let you know tomorrow.  In the mean time Shoppers, A&P and I think Chapters are carrying them.

I think Shannon bought all the ones at A&P!   laugh  Maybe we need to get a group together and sit down and write up a submission to try and get them to profile our Quinte FunRunners group!  Maybe if we tell them how accident prone we are in the past year they will take pity on us!!  Or maybe they will just highlight our group under a special "Injuries and Recovery" section!   rolleyes

Yes, it sounds like fun writing an article about the group.  We could probably fill up a whole magazine with all the stories and all the pictures that you guys took over the years.  grin grin
