So, just to create conversation and to keep me entertained this Friday evening, I was wondering???

Who wears running socks every day?  Does that make me a true runner?  I don't wear "the other" socks anymore.  In fact I emptied my sock drawer of cotton and it's packed with technical socks of all colors, trail socks, padded socks.  I wear them daily.  Anyone else?

OK Since I have such and exciting life I will answer.  No I still wear cotton socks, unless I am running.  I think that the boys at work would really think I am off kilter if I started to wear my running attire to work.  Although once in a while I get this deep down desire to wear my spandex pants just becasue they feels so good.

OK nice picture.  Our Honda rep attired at work in his spandex.   Hummmm what would that tell us about the man and the dealership?  This could get interesting.

On the original question, I am afraid to say that I still have dress pants that I wear to work (ask my why I wear dress pants to a Truck Stop..Dah).   I haven't found socks that are thin enough to go into my dress shoes that go with my dress pants.  Althought I could just do it.  After all who would notice.  I look GOOD in my running stuff.  This could change my office environment.

I am sure that it would say that I am in touch with myself and my self esteem can not be taken away from me eventhough I (as the boys at work would say) am dressed like a girl.  Or whatever else they coudl come up with and trust me they can come up woth a lot of stuff.

I occasionally wear my long sleeve tech shirts to school.  Very comfy!

I wear my running socks if I am wearing running shoes to work.  But I usually wear my black shoes that came with my orthotics in them, so I have to wear other socks.  The running socks are too thick to fit into those shoes.

I have worn a techical shirt occasionally to work too.  They are very comfortable.  I work in a very casual atmosphere at work.  And the day that I dress up is usually the day that Fred decides we are going to go slogging through a field and over fences.....  rolleyes

Well...
I have a tale to tell about clothes.. grin
As a guy who works mainly outdoors, i dress a bit differently then most.I do wear my running gear during the work hours.Running shorts, then my old tights ( naw naw Bill!! ) then a dry fit base layer with a cotton top in way of a hoodie or a turtle neck sweater then i have my thick twill UPS sweater or my outer shell Ups pullover . Then i dawn the famous UPS terrible fit mystery material trousers on.If need be i use my UPS vest over it all.
And yes thick cotton socks under my construction toed slasher style hiker boots.

It can take up to 30 mins to get dressed in the morning...... oh and yes ofcourse.. then i have to go pee.
but i can endure pretty much any and all weather.I drive with the passenger door wide open most of the day...with the heater on... and i cannot omit the wonderful wool toque that tops it all... but i am warm.
i do this for at least 3 - 5 months, dependingon the winter.

Shannon, unfortunately I can not wear my running clothes to work, as apparently they are not the proper office attire.  I have many times changed my clothes at the end of the day to meet you for a run.  Many of my long standing clients have seen me more than once do my quick change act and yes most of them laugh at me.  I figure they are jealous of my stylish running outfits lol.

Well,
I'm with JAne. If I am wearing running shoes than I have on running socks, and since at work I wear an oh so stylish pair of coveralls, and my feet tend to get dirty, a (as do my legs hands face etc) depending on what job I am doing I wear black socks, but I do wear my old running shorts under my coveralls.  I have been known to wear my long sleeve tech shirts to school, and after work.

It's probably not much of a stretch thinking wise to know I wear my running socks every day, even when I'm not wearing running shoes (although that's not often) and wear running attire as often as possible.  I wore a dress to my grade 8 grad...with running shoes much to my Mother's horror.  Probably the only day I dressed up and didn't not change into running shoes was the day I got married, except maybe on the way to the airport I think I did but that was about 3am the next day so I'm sure it didn't count.  Walk Away

I'm jealous Sandy.  To wear running clothes everyday.  Ahhh.  You and Patti are so lucky.  Wish I could be an employee for a day, of course I won't  be working, I would be the person in the change room trying all the clothes on.  hehehe tongue
