OK, it's now official, after a review of Tri Club rules and regulations by the Wednesday night group, trash talking on this web site is not only allowed but encouraged.  So with that endorsement, bring it on!

I would just like to note that since "Iron Pylon" took such a beating for not showing up with a bike the first week, that it is worth noting  that once everyone knew I was coming this week, all of the "trash talkers" came up with convenient excuses, afraid of course that the old guy would beat kick their butts!

here are their excuses....

Dennis - Oh I've got a race coming up and need to rest

Jeff - Oh, I hurt my leg playing rugby!

Ms. Willwey - Oh, I have a flat tire.

Adam - Oh, I have to pay soccer,

Brian L - just a no show.

So how about the folks that did show up:

Cathy W recovering from a broken ankle vs Jeff's sore leg

Cathy K on a 1930's "road master" with a broken spoke.

Jane on Heather's old bike because she had a flat tire but found a way around it

Lindsay who caught a shoe lace in her chain but still beat her time from last week,

Look's to me like we have a lot of talkers and not many riders, but anyway the real bikers were there and you guys would probably just gotten in our way!!

So if you guys want to come out next week and sit and watch that will be OK,

And Bill even managed to avoid an accident with an idiot (ok an old idiot) driver who tried to take him out turning into his driveway when we were biking back!

Ya that was a bit scary.  Could have had a 6 biker pile-up on his hands.

Well.... you said it's encouraged Bill so here you go......
Hats off to you to have worked so long to now be retired (and I mean that in all sincere ways) however some of us don't have all day to check to see if our tires and good to go, the water filled, the screws tightened and the gear in tact.  Honestly, there are some days that I am lucky to get my helmet on before I get on the road it is so "busy".  SO...... for some of us now a days...... I only get a chance to check my tires when I am pumping them up AND that is only minutes before I have to be at the TT!  Besides..... who was still out on the course at 7:10 finishing her TT?  You guessed.... have a great day!

Time? Time? A teacher who claims to have no time!!!?????  Now that is funny.  But time aside, it's the "Woody, my tire is flat, what should I do, can you fix it for me, I don't want to break a nail."   Doesn't sound like an Ironman to me!!

OK, all that crap aside, have a great race, and take what the day will give you.
