Well,
here is my 4 week update.  I had the cast taken off ( I was very happy!) Then the doctor started pressingon my foot and then I just about jumped off the table because my foot still hurt.  So back to X-Ray, then look at the X-Rays and decide that it is not quite healed. SO they had an air cast there that they thought might work (a little big but I'd be able to take it off to shower, sleep, swim etc.) So thought I'd try it, but it is making my foot hurt again, and swell with me walking on it, so it's back to get a colourful cast on it hopefully tomorrow cry.  Thinking I might get pink this time.
SO I am stillnot a happy runner or walker, but me and my recumbanent bike have a very close relationship.  Can't beleive how much muscle I have lost in my calf already!

Hey Janet..
nothing to witty to say, except that im really sorry.
i had a broken leg once, but i was a kid so it was a toy more than anything.

hey , do you think that we could have your casts when your done with them??.. they would make for  cool scarecrow legs for up in Batawa.. sort of a monument of you and a warning to others.. evil.

Sorry to hear that you are not cast free.  Hopefully you will be as good as new soon.

Rest and heal Janet.  You will be up and around without that cast soon enough.  Thank goodness for your bike.  I loved mine.  Really helped to keep me motivated.

Yeah,
I'm keeping it up Sandy, but my 1000 miles logged is taking a real kicking laugh, too bad I couldn't count all of my miles bikng!  But I am in the HAlloween spirit anyway with my orange cast, which is now decorated with scary spooks on it.

Janet

I am happy to see that your attitude is great I was off for two weeks and was having a hard time with it.  Kudo's to you.  I know you will be back soon on the run once again.  In the meantime enjoy your bike time and the extra time you are having with our family.  Oh yeah if you are still in a cast at Christmas time will they change it to red and green?

Keep smiling.

O.k,
Here is my last update.I got my cast off today and everything felt great!  xray So now I have to wait 2 weeks before I can run, but walking, biking and swimming area go!  So I am very happy and starting to think about races for the new year!
Yes Bill to answer your question they were supposed to be getting some green in for Christmas.  They already have red, and were joking about making candy cane colours. That would be neat looking... on someone else Burn!  SO I will hopefully see you guys out on Tuesday night, I'll be the one walking with no limp and 2 shoes!
