It has been the topic of discussion for a few weeks about doing a mini tri for one of the FunRunners Saturday runs although I don't know if it has been formally discussed here on the forum.  So I thought that I would throw that out there as well as (which might be a bit easier) a duo.  There are several of us that like to go for a ride and we haven't really had the chance to do much of that this summe.  So this might just give us a chance to get a ride in.

Anyone with any thought on the matter, please post them here.

Hey, Cathy, I guess we forgot to tell you that after Tuesday evening's run, Sandy had suggested a bike ride next Sat a.m.  Combining it with a run sounds fun, although combining it with eating breakfast sounds even better.   wink

Or is your suggestion related to the one involving a miniature swimming pool?

If we are going to go biking, I better get my bike back from Doug's by Friday!  I had to take it in today because my third gear was stuck.

I think a ride and then a run would be fun.  How far will we ride?  I don't know what Joanne was thinking but maybe a 20k ride then for those that want to maybe a 3k run?

That sounds good to me.  Don't know if I will be able to do the run by then (I got hurt today  sad angry) but I should be able to do the bike.  I would also be up for food afterwards.   wink

Sounds like fun to me!  I was just thinking that we really haven't biked much together this summer, bike, run, eat, sound like a "tri" to me

9am start?  Where, how far should we bike?  If we start at 9am then add a run the people who just want to run won't get to until after 10am.  Is that too late?

Petra wondered about running first and biking after to amalgamate with a long run.  It doesn't matter to me (since I probably won't be running anyhow sad  sad....  Or would that mess everyone up (if you are trying to make it like a Tri).

Or, we could bike from 8 until 9, then meet at the club house and run.  that way those that do not have bikes   cry  would just meet at the normal fun run time......then food to complete the "tri" and the whole morning will not be shot!!

Honestly that is what I was leaning towards but didn't want to weigh in until you had voiced your opinion since it was your idea!

Excellent, bike from 8-9 then run 3-5k (runners choice) from 9 on...Tim's to follow.

I'll be there too!  And 8 a.m. will work better for the traffic - less of it!

I can be a volunteer at the running part.
