Billy boy .......pop it be a man ..... just kidding.... if you pop it now it should be fine by sunday or it will get better by itself. It will be fine with a good bandaid for now,if it pop or you pop it a little warm salt water should help you put some skin back on .....but I am pretty old school or is that old...Sandy probably got the right answer to the problem.

Well I am not a medical practitioner and I know a number of nurses and Doc's that will cringe when I say this but if it were on my foot, I'd pop it and I wouldn't even sterilize the pin!!!!  There I said it.  It is up to you and of course they recommend you sterilize what ever you use to pop it, then cover it with a bandaid.  Change it often to keep it clean.  You can get the bandages that completely cover the blister for race day so they don't rub off.  Question?  Why are you getting blisters?

That was the first thing that I thought of.  WHY BILL.

No seriously, I rarely get blisters but I had several nasty ones after Disney.  I left them for a day and then couldn't wear any shoes so POPPED em.  I have never done that before ever.  Done it for my kids (and have never sterilized the needle either) but not ever popped my own till then.  I had one  ugly one that just kept comming back but within a few days they were all better and I felt great for shoes or anything.

Try it, you'll like it.   laugh laugh

To Pop or Not to Pop, that is a very good question.

I won't keep you all in suspense any longer.  I popped it and oh did it feel good.  Actually Sue did the dirty work because I was to busy watching the hockey game.   Thanks to all of you for your responses.

Why, If I knew I wouldn't have any.  Actually I think it is a combination of shoes orthotics and socks.  Hopefully Sunday will be OK.

Don't let him kid you, he was a whimp to do it on his own.  Someone had to do something to stop the whinning and I took it upon myself to stop it.

Hopefully that will cure his problem and he won't suffer with any more.

Susan

P.S.  I even sterilized the needle for him.

you know what i find great to prevent blisters.... those 'toe socks'.  I think they're called Injinji... Sandy has them at the store.. (at the cheapest price i've found anywhere, ofcourse!)...  I love them.. have 4 pairs and wear them almost every single run....
They feel funny outside of my shoes, but when i have my shoes on, i can't tell they're toe socks..and they really have totally prevented any blistering...
Probably one of the best running items i own!

Patti and I love the toe socks (Injinji) for that same reason.  I will get blisters if I am running an exceptionally long, or hilly course (swelling and movement) or if it is particularly hot, otherwise, can't remember the last time I had one.

Not to be ruder or anything, but I always thought that toe socks were kind of girly.

But then again I didn't think I would ever wear spandex tights.   Maybe I will come over and check out the selection.
