Just wanted to know if anyone has tried the Nike+ipod kit? It sounds like a cool idea hearing your workout stats, distance pace etc. as you run to music.
Wonder if it would work to buy a shoe pocket to place the transmitter in, instead of purchasing special Nike shoes? My running store doesn't sell Nike.
The kit, transmitter and ipod adapter are $39.00
Simple pedometer $30.00 and up.

From what I've heard, the kit works without the shoes, because like you said, you just need to have a pocket for the transmitter.

You can't steal my Ipod!   They do look like a great idea and work well from what I have read so far

Janet G just bought the set, I'll ask her what she thinks of it.

I know this feed is older, but just came across it this week.

Does Tri & Run sell the iPod transmitters or where can I buy one?  And what do I need to get for a transmitter "pocket" (as I don't wear Nike shoes).  Does it just sit under the insole of the shoe?

I am very interested in getting one of these so any information is very helpful.

We do not sell the Nike iPod unit.  That's about all I can tell you about it.  We sell the Timex iPod unit that controls your iPod from your watch.

A shoe pouch is a little pocket that attaches to the shoe for keys, money etc.

Do you sell the shoe pouches at the store?

And ... when I was running this morning and talking to my running buddy about the Nike iPod, I was wondering if you could wear it like an anklet in a band around your ankle or if it had to be in the shoe.  Do you know?

Sport Chek just tells you that Nike insists they be used in their shoes alone.  But according to this forum, oviously they work otherwise.

We do sell the pouches.  The only thing i personaly know about the Nike product is that it is not as accurate as the Garmin GPS.  outside of that I can't tell you anything about it.
