When they are saying that "any" exposed skin can freeze in 10 minutes, I would say that you are definately not a whimp.
I don't run on Tuesday usually but I sure thought of you all this morning and wondered about it being a good thing.

Well.... I am usually one of the last ones to cancel due to weather conditions. I am just wondering if this should be a night when we do.

I had no intention of running tonight at least outside b/c I do the kid thing on Tuesday night. I would say that you are wise to not run tonight.

I'm not running tonight. I was out last night and even the vaseline didn't help much. I would recommend this be the one night everyone stays in and runs on the treadmill.

I cancelled my sitter at 10 this morning because it is so cold. My ears were stinging and I just walked to Tim's and back. We're not woosies, I think it would be a safe decision to stay inside.

Bill.... don't you do MOST of your runs on the treadmill? So does your message mean that Sweetsue won't be showing up either? OK, I am going to stay home too. Hopefully everyone else does the same. I will most likely do the treadmill thing Or the worst I could do would be go outside and run around our block and if it is too cold, then come inside and finish on the treadmill. Plus, we DO need a bit of recovery from our 27K run on Sunday, right?

I agree Jane. I'm taking it easy on the treadmill and saving my skin from frost bite. Strangely enough, I'm not as sore as last week. Hmm? Maybe I'm getting stronger? Must be the trigger point thingy.

Jane Yes, I do most or LATELY I should say all of my runs on the treadmill. That is mostly because you girls have monopolized my better half and have taken all of the good running times. Or maybe it is because I learned this winter how to be a wimp and stay indoors.

Hmmmm.... all the good running times --- that is funny, Bill! Hey, as long as you are training so Sue doesn't have to carry you at ATB!

Hey Bill, you can come and run anytime with us. With or without Susan you are always welcomed. See what you can arrange for the next 16k. Can you get a sitter for the next outting. The more the merrier.
Hope your TM training is going well. Sometimes it is better and wiser to stay inside. Like tonight.

Carry me? Sue couldn't even come close!!
Drag me is more like it.
As for ATB I don't think I have been fully prepared for a race or should I say run yet. I am not that smoart when it comes to takingit easy so I will finish that run one way or another.
Your next 16k takes place on Sunday Morning which happens to coincide with hockey practice. So I will not be joining although I wish I could.

well.. one of my running partners did join me for a run tonight.. but we only did 25 minutes.. figured thats all his cheeks (which ones, Rob?!) could handle!! I was quite warm once i got going, but that wind was pretty crazy.. However.. the cold does present problems if you wear glasses.. you put a neck warmer thing up over your mouth..and breathe..and your glasses fog up... Must be a nice problem NOT to have, Heather!! Lets hope for a sunny day tomorrow!
Happy running!

Yes, I have definitely missed that! Haha... I certainly appreciated being able to see in the distance when I went snorkeling in the Bahamas. It would have been horrible to go and not be able to see a thing! Anyways... back to the cold weather talk
