Not sure how but I have tweaked my lower back.  It is difficult to function right now or get out of bed even.  Can someone suggest what steps I should take or proceed with.  Today was day 3 and does not seem to be improving.   Can someone suggest some stretches or advise what I may try next.

So far I have tried the following:

Robaxcet Platinum
Tylenol 3
Using Bio-Freeze a few times a day.

Any input would be appreciated/

Massage therapy!  Of course that is my solution to all my muscle problems, because I love massage therapy!!  But I really do believe it would help in this case.

I don't want to suggest any exercises -- I have had lower back pain but just achy, not PAIN.  And mine was caused by tight hamstrings.  Yours doesn't sound like that.  I don't want to tell you stretches that might make it worse.

Sandy will hopefully have some suggestions for you.

It really depends on what you have done to it.  If you think it's muscular the fetal position is a good stretch, laying flat on the floor to relax all the muscles works, a heating pad on the sore area maybe.  To be sure you might want to have it looked at by a therapist, physio, chiro or massage.

I know the feeling, knife in the back or a stiff neck. Recommendations on a good
therapist. Can they tell if you have a slipped disk, or should one see a chiropractor?

 Get well, Paul

Any therapist should be able to tell whether it's muscular or spinal.
