Hi Marlene,

It is nice to see you on the site.  I used to go to school with your daughters at St. Paul's!  Glad to see you have a running group out in Frankford.  Maybe see you at Riverfest.  I will likely be volunteering since I will be one of the runners running the London Half the weekend before.  Say Hi to Julie and Carla for me!

If you build it they will come.

HI Marlene maybe we could team up on the run 5/10km does not,t matter much to me .I am the Pres.of Frankfrod Minor Ball and my wife Kym is the treauer that makes  Kym and I MR & MRS BASEBALL.
I have had the idea of a run on the RIVERFEST Weekend for a couple of years now but never got it going.Maybe by the two of us putting our heads together we can make it happen.
I see your running club out from time to time hope to run with them soon.I just love running in Frankfrod we live on the Frankfrod RD now, live in the village for years ran everwhere seen almost everthing in the area.
Now what was I talking about before I got distracked .....5km is good ... if we could go for the church around Huffman Rd back around Mill St.might be an nice easy loop to organize, maybe use the church washroom.
Don,t need to have a big fund raiser ,don,t want to take the fun out of it .BUT IF WE BUILD IT THEY WILL COME ,AND MORE NEXT YEAR.

Remember Warkworth  Fred.  They built it, we came and I for sure will be back next year.  It just gets better and better every year but you have to try first to start the ball rolling.

Fred I agree, if you build it they will come.  Bill and I would be happy to help you this going in any possible.  I think it is great that such a small community has such a big active group.

Hi Fred, its Marlene again. Now that I have put 2 and 2 together ( I think I have at any rate!) I will talk to you at the arena and see what we can cook up. I was thinking of running around the block by the arena and then down March street, only b/c I am not a fan of hills (Bad knees) and that road does not have much traffic but does have a lot of shade trees. Also the arena start is more in keeping with Riverfest as other activities are taking place there and we would be more likely to have spectators (aka-future runners!)I haven't actually driven over it yet to determine how far out it would have to be but that was my thought. Starting at the church is also not a bad idea though b/c it the weather is not nice we could likely have registrations etc indoors.Anyways, like I said I am interested in getting together to see what two brains together can do! As for walkers - I think it is a good idea.

Hi Fred, it's Marlene. I was at the carnival but didn't see your post until afterwards. Between skating, getting kids ready to skate and playing music I was too busy anyways. I will give you a call though and we can get started. I will be at the arena for Int spring school so maybe we can use that time for brainstorming as well. TTYL
