Now that 2006 is drawing to a close, what special plans do our members have for 2007? Are you planning on working on your speed, completing a farther distance, entering a new territory (like trying a tri), entering a new race? So other than the "big event" that many are entered into the first weekend of 2007, what other plans are there? Just keep in mind -- if you say them out loud, then you are committed to doing them!

One new event that Heather and I want to do is the Forest City Half Marathon in London on 13 May. Hopefully my parents will be around and will be able to be there to see their daughter and granddaughter come over the finish line. I wouldn't mind trying one other different run to enter next year -- maybe a trail run in the summer time if the bugs aren't too bad. I see that Rattlesnake one that Dave did is being held on 14 July next year. And there is a Mono Cliffs run on 11 Aug next year. So maybe one of those. I really like several of the runs that I have done for the past few years, and will probably do most of them again. Okay, so I am in a rut! But I just can't NOT do ATB, Wolfe Island, Longboat, Sandbanks, and most importantly
Run for the Toad!
I am thinking I might want to work on my speed a bit again this year and get my times back to where they were a couple of years ago. It would be nice by the end of the year to run a half marathon in close to two hours (over two hours, not under!). In an effort to improve my running performance, I am going to attempt to get more sleep at night and also work on my core by instituting some sort of a weight program!
So..... there's mine!
