I am facilitating this one and the 5k faster/10 clinic.  Patti and Jane are facilitating the Learn to Run.

Sandy,
4 questions:
1) Can the faster 5k/10k be successfully piggy-backed on to a 20 week marathon campaign?
2) Is it for me?  (Not being a smartass here either.)
3) How much?
4) When?

Regret nothing, even the bad parts contributed to your arrival in this spot, and if dirt is down, then you're still winning.  Keep racing.

Hmmmmm.  I think a 5k faster program would work very well for you prior to your next marathon program, my only concern about this one is that you would get frustrated.  This clinic tends to be mostly women who have just come out of a learn to run program and are interested in being a tad faster.  I just finished a 10 faster clinic working on speed drills, hills, tempo etc. with a luke warm reception.  Mostly they just wanted to run and chat, not go particularily faster.  I can certainly give you a 5k faster program to work on if that's what your looking for.

Sandy
Does the clinic help everyone reach there goal time for the around the bay or is it for the newer runners?

Hey Ironman, like the 5k clinic it is mostly runners who have been at it for two years or less but the process is the same.  if you don't require the group atmosphere or motivation the same can be accomplished with a personalized program.  I coach a number of runners and Ironmen on a one on one basis whose goals range from completion to winning.
