Hello all, My meet in Brampton was very short. In the 777m race it was a heat, 4 laps into the race one skater wipe out and I try to void him when I skated by him I had no idea what happen but his skate or mine when I fall got  cut on the inside  beside my right knee. Left a nice slice. I did'nt even notice until I went to take my skate off. I did finish the race finished last. I think it would of been close to my pb. So I only skated one race then I was finished went to the hosptil I have 5 stiches the doctor said I was very lucky few more inches to my joint if it would've   hit thier it would've been not good,so that was lucky. It's a bit sore now the freezen is out. The stiches has to be in 7to 10 days. That means they we be in for the fatass so I decide to take it very easy and going to walk the 7k with my mom. I'm ok just got to take it easy for awile.  Derek.

Ahh Derek.  That is really too bad.  Good thing though that it wasn't worse than it was.  Well rest up and we will see you anyways at the Fat Ass.  Walking is always a good thing.  Keep the pressure off it and probably less chances of falls.

That's disappointing Derek. Somethings are just out of our control.  Glad to hear that it wasn't more serious.
See you at The Fat Ass.

Awww Derek, that is too bad!!   But I agree with the others -- it is just bad luck and you are fortunate it wasn't any worse.  Hopefully it will feel ok for Saturday.  You know, I am sure that your Mom will love it that you will walk with her!  Can't wait to see you guys on Friday!

I agree with the girls Derek, bad luck but it could have sooo much worse.  I'm sure your Mom would love to have you pace her at the Fat ass.  See you on Saturday!

One door closes, another one opens.  Although this is disappointing, maybe the rest will make you faster once you're healed.  Sometimes bad experiences turn into great experiences.

See you Saturday.   tongue

Mike

P.S. Glad you're okay.

Regret nothing, even the bad parts contributed to your arrival in this spot, and if dirt is down, then you're still winning.  Keep racing.
