Now that was my favourite group.
There was Michel Nesmith, Mickey Dolenz, Davie Jones, Peter Tork
Hey Hey We're the Monkees
You can come to the party, Cathy!!

Robyn, do you mean the one that they had kids singing with Bobby Gumby or Jimby or something like that leading them? You mean C-A-N-A-D-A???? And it went:
C-A-N-A-D-A
One, little two, little three Canadians
We love thee!
Now we are 20 million
C-A-N-A-D-A
Four, little five, little six little provinces
Longe vie, longe vie!
North, south, east, west,
there'll be happy times
Church bells will ring, ring, ring,
It's the 100th anniversary of Confederation,
Everybody sing, together....
Start again..
OK - It may not be completely accurate but I did this from memory and didn't GOOGLE it!
I remember big Centennial celebrations on the base in Lamacaza QC. It was a happening place.
We also sang, This Land is Your Land, This Land is My Land
and The Maple Leaf Forever.
You people who weren't born in Centennial Year -- you missed a good time!
