Someone posted this link on the other running website that I belong to and I thought everyone over here might get a kick out of it.

Go to this website and find out what the #1 Song was on the day you were born.

http://www.thisdayinmusic.com/member/birthdayno1.php

Mine was Don't Be Cruel/Hound Dog by Elvis in the U.S.!
In the U.K. it was A Woman in Love by Frankie Laine -- don't know if I ever heard this one!!

I could only get the US one.  It was "Reach Out I'll be There" by the Four Tops.  I believe I have heard the song.

And I should state that being the oldest here that I have heard of all your songs.

It's funny how you got "Baby Jane" Heather.

Mine are "I Can't Stop Loving You" by Ray Charles and "Good Luck Charm" by Elvis.    I've never heard that Elvis song before.  Sometimes I think my birthdate song should be "I Don't Like Mondays"

Okay, I did it and my songs are Venus by Shocking Blue and Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes) by Edison Lighthouse.  I have not heard of either of these songs.

You haven't heard Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes????  It was a BIG song when I was 14!

She ain't got no money
Her clothes are kinda funny
Her hair is kinda wild and free
Oh, but love grows where my Rosemary goes
And nobody knows like me

She talks kinda lazy
And people say she she's crazy
And her life's a mystery
Oh, but love grows where my Rosemary goes
And nobody knows like me

There's something about her hand holding mine
It's a feeling that's fine
And I just gotta say
She's really got a magical spell
And it's working so well
That I can't get away

I'm a lucky fella
And I've just got to tell her
That I love her endlessly
Because love grows where my Rosemary goes
And nobody knows like me

There's something about her hand holding mine
It's a feeling that's fine
And I just gotta say
She's really got a magical spell
And it's working so well
That I can't get away

I'm a lucky fella
And I've just got to tell her
That I love her endlessly
Because love grows where my Rosemary goes
And nobody knows like me

[Fadeout:]
It keeps growing every place she's been
And nobody knows like me

If you've met her, you'll never forget her
And nobody knows like me

La la la- believe it when you've seen it
Nobody knows like me

Sue, you would know it if you heard it!  Show up for Running Group tonight and I'll see if someone will help me sing it to you!  I am a terrible singer!  I'll need help.

They used to play that one all the time when we lived in North Bay.  That and "Me and You and a Dog Named Boo" by Lobo.  EVERY morning!

Stop Stop.

OK, I can tell that we are from the same era.  All those familiar songs.  Probably some of my favorites for sure

I think we should have a 60's get together sometime - we can sit around and listen to that kind of music, late 60's/early 70's.  Better yet, we can drink Mateus and Baby Duck or Baby Bear wine while we're at it!  The criteria to attend will have to be that you remember Expo 67 (even better if you went - I did!) and know the names of all the Monkees.
