O.K all of you athletes out there, I want to know what you listen to when you're running. My ipod is in need of some new songs, and I was having a hard time coming up with enough. So let's hear them ladies and gents, I listen to pretty much anything , and if it makes you sing out loud when you're driving, all the better . Janet

Sorry Janet can't help you, I run without music but I'll ask Ryann what she listens to.

I steal my son's MP3 player so I listen to whatever is on it. I have to say I enjoy it all. I never know what's going to come on. Black Eyed Peas are on it, AC/DC, Johnny Cash, Bryan Adams, Ozzie Osborne, Sean Paul. Quite a mixture, but anything to make the time pass a little easier. I have say though, Black Eyed Peas make me run faster.

I have never run with music until about two weeks ago. I wanted some company on my long run. I do keep it very low so I can hear traffic around me. I have to admit I am kinda addicted to it. It makes my runs that I do on my own easier. They don't drag. We listen to music all day so if there is a song I like I write it down and get Nick to put it on our MP3. I know we were laughing about those Crazy Frogs songs at Peterborough, but they are very peppy. Right now I have songs like: Black Eyed Peas ( a selection) Jimmy gets High by Daniel Powter Big Yellow Taxi (Counting Crows) I Live to Run (Melissa Etheridge) Muddy Tires (Tim McGraw) I Fall Down (Chumba.....bimba....wimba.... what ever the hell the group is called) She Shook Me (ACDC is a good one) My music is no different from my day to day life....all over the map!!
Go to Rick Dees pull up the top 20. patti

I don't often run with music either. I would have to look and see what I even have on my MP3 player because I am not sure. I know that Nancy said she trained for IM with Metallica. ( Sounds like they were out there with her!) I think they may be too heavy metal for me, but you might like something like that.

That's so funny about the Crazy Frog songs. There are couple on the Cam's MP3 player as well and I don't actually mind them.

Janet I usually listen to dance music I find it easier to keep with the beat of the music for the long runs. My husband D.J's and all of his music is on his computer, your more then welcome to come upload what ever you want. And that goes for everyone, he has everything you can think of.

Thanks for the offer Brackin, I might just have to take you up on that. Thanks for all of the input you guys, as soon as I get everything downloaded I should be in for a very musically diverse run! Got everything from Black Eyed Peas to Johhny Cash!

Delayed reaction, but anything Carlos Santana (Since Supernatural esp.) Green Day's American Idiot is good. Try a little James Brown to get your legs moving, or KISS.

here are a few songs I LOVE to hear when I run......one is by Kiss, not sure of the official "title" but the chorus goes "I was made for loving you baby, you were made for loving me....and I can't get enough of you baby...." The other is Rebel Yell by Billy Idol. I dare ANYONE to run while listening to that and NOT find themselves running faster without even trying! Another is Magic Carpet Ride by Steppenwolf....

Try "Detroit, Rock City" on for size, talk about fast feet. How about "Hey-ya" by Outcast, or "Summer of '69" by Bryan Adams... All great pace songs.
